Joining the Social Network

Over the past several months we have been working with students from Johnson & Wales. Five different groups of students studied The Green Grocer and it's current internet techniques. After many excellent presentations we have decided to put into effect some of what we learned from them.

We have started a blog, it's at: http://thegreengrocer.wordpress.com/

There are several articles I have set up that you might find interest in. "Probiotics for Kids", "Got Hope?" and "Store Wars" a video. To comment on any of them just clik on the comment link and enter your name, your email address and your comment. It's that easy!

We are tweeting daily at Twitter. What is twitter? For those of you who have two and a half minutes here's a video on Youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ddO9idmax0o                          For those of you who don't, it's a way to let people who are following you on Twitter know what you are doing in a 140 characters or less. We are using it to update our customers as to fresh deliveries of produce, locally made artisan items, soup of the day, fun facts or events. You can find us by using the "Find People" option at the top of the page and typing in GreenGrocerRi.

We have also thrown our hat into the ring of the Facebook community. Just type Green Grocer into the search bar of your Facebook page and viola there we are. If you have questions, comments, ideas or something to share you can reach us 24 hours a day. We enjoy hearing from you and hope to make great use of this network to better serve our customers!

Finally there's Myspace. There we are known as The Green Grocer, not a lot taking place here yet as we are still developing our page.

All of these social networks take time, and as many of you have experienced they can be time suckers. Minutes quickly fade as you puruse what everyone has going on and make the occasional comment. However exciting it might be to stay in touch with all of these tools it can never replace the thrill we get from seeing you walk through our front door.

See you soon!
