This past week Sakonnet Times announced on page 24, (the upper right hand corner of the obituaries ironically enough) that we were opening our doors on Saturday May 28th. Well, unfortunately, that was not true though we have had a wonderful turn out of visitors.
We have met many familiar faces who have come in search of us. I enjoyed a visit with a local woman who's former life was that of an organic farmer in North Dakota. We've had neighbors stopping in, friends of friends and even other local business owners and managers. Even a few visits from Newporter's who have been brave enough to travel all the way out here to Portsmouth.
Each time we experience the "Oh wow!" when they walk through the front door is so rewarding. The consensus is that it is much bigger on the inside than it looks on the outside and that the visitors are impressed with our selection. I even had a Founding Member contact us after a visit to say they would like to increase the amount of their certificate.
Thank-you all so much for your support, with your visists, your phone calls, for those who could become a Founding Member, for the word of mouth and the forwarding of e-mails. We wouldn't be here now without you, and we look forward to being there for you very soon.
