The Windows on The Green Grocer

It doesn't look like much has happened but there are plenty of small things taking place.

This past week we have had meetings with our banker, from Coastway Credit Union in Cranston. These folks really make banking a whole new experience, a positive and memorable one. They are enthusiastic about the progress we have made and the scope of the project.

We have had several visits and phone calls from supportive customers from Newport to Bristol in the past week as well. A hearty and warm thank-you to all who have called and stopped by. We can never put into words what all the support has meant to us. It helps us get through those rough spots when we are a bit overwhelmed with this project.

The final boards were put on the roof last week and the traditional tree or flag was put up on the peak. It was a windy day, and a bit cold, but the crew was excited to get it up there.

Windows are installed and the inside supports have started to come down. It may look big now, just wait til we start filling it with shelves and equipment, I have a feeling it won't look so big anymore.

The stack of cedar shingles you see here is about six feet tall. That will help give you an idea of the size of the interior.

Inside

One thing people say when they visit is, "I didn't realize it was going to be this big!" The building is a little over 26 feet in height, and there is only one floor.
