The inclusion of the zucchini and yellow squash not only increase the moisture content but summer squash's fiber has been shown to lower high cholesterol levels. If you're thinking of skipping the jalapeno's or the chile's think again. Chiles are vasodilators. They open up blood vessels, thereby stimulating blood circulation and warming the body. Chiles help to reduce oxidation of LDL cholesterol, a primary risk factor in heart attack and stroke. Chiles also reduce triglycerides, stored fats in blood cells.
