Meet Tony Wood, No Relation, Wild Alsakan Salmon Fisherman

Last Saturday we had a visitor from the waters of the Pacific off the coast of Alaska. Tony Wood is the Wild Alaska Salmon Co. fisherman and owner. In the summer of 2004 he returned from Alaska with 5 tons of beautiful Wild Sockeye Salmon.

Tony catches Sockeye Salmon and immediately puts it on ice, then hand processes it to insure its natural flavor and original texture are retained. The fish are then shipped by air to stores throughout the United States, including yours truly.

While findings of the negative additives of farm raised salmon have surfaced the health benefits of eating the fish is being hailed as improtant to overall heart health. There is simply no substitute for the flavor that only Wild Alaskan Salmon provide. The Sockeye species in particular, generally only served in gourmet restaurants, is prized for its incredibly rich flavor and deep red color that is retained throughout cooking which offers superb presentation.

From Tony's boat to your plate!
